Responding to Literature

Our class is reading a book called Lewis and Clark and Me.
Introduction:
The book is about a Newfoundland dog named Seaman. Seaman was a real dog and went with Lewis and Clark on their journeys. Here's a summary of what we've read. Thomas Jefferson purchased the Louisiana Territory and quickly planed an expidition to find a water passage to the Pacific Ocean. He aquired Meriwether Lewis. Lewis invited William Clark to join him. Meriwether's dog Seaman, acompained the members of the expidition as a guard dog and peacemaker with the indians. This is Seaman's story!
Chapter 1: The Beginning
Seaman lives on the docks. Meriwether was looking for a dog for his travel. Meriwether bought Seaman for $20. Lewis liked Seaman from the second he saw him, Seaman felt the same way. Seaman already loves Meriwether, especially his smell.

I'm dying to read the next chapter and learn about Lewis and Clark's journey.
