On Tuesday, March 3, 2015 our class had a very special visitor, Mrs. Schencke, who taught us how to use microscopes 2 different ways. We used to microscope in its little stand to look 20 times bigger than the real size of the pencil tips, 3 e’s typed on paper, and other small objects. Our other way is to use the microscopes is to take the microscope out of the little stand and to put on a surface adaptor so that you can go outside and look at tree bark and other things that you don’t wreck nature. Both ways the thing that you are looking at is always 20 times bigger than the real size of the object.

I thought it was fun doing the microscopes. The pine needles from the trees outside look really cool!
ReplyDeleteI loved doing microscopes. The flowers me and Lara found looked so cool, we could see the pollen!
ReplyDeleteI loved doing the microscopes, too, Abby. When we looked at the bark on the tree it looked like it had little bumps on it.
ReplyDeleteMicroscopes were so fun. It's really interesting how you can look through the microscopes two different ways. I wish I had my own microscope.
