My Favorite Series

Hello! What is your favorite book? My name is Lily, and one of my favorite books is Eragon. I am going to tell you all about it.

Have you ever heard about the Inheritance series? Have you read them? If you like action, suspense, fantasy, magic, this is the series for you. There are four books: today I will tell you about one of the four. The first book, Eragon, is about a boy who finds what he thinks is a stone that will buy him, his cousin, Roran, and his uncle, Garrow, meat for the winter. A few months later, the “stone” rocks, cracks, and releases a baby dragon!  Months pass, in which he raises the dragon, which he names Saphira, meets the old village storyteller Brom, and flees Carvahall, his home since he was a little boy. Along the way to the Varden, the organization working against the tyrant king, Galbatorix, the Ra’zac, the evil creatures that later kill his uncle Garrow, kill Brom with an arrow. As the Ra’zac are about to slaughter Eragon, a man, about Eragon’s age, scares the Ra’zac away. His name is Murtagh, and their friendship grows steadily, and together they reach the Varden. There, Murtagh reveals his greatest secret: he is the son of Morzan, the Rider who betrayed the rest of the Riders to Galbatorix. Once they enter Farthen Dur, the home of the Varden, they feel as if they have found a safe haven. Then, just months later, peace flees. What happened to the Varden? Will they survive, or die in the attempt?

This is the first of four in the Inheritance series. The other three are Eldest, Brisingr, and Inheritance. I am on Brisingr, and it is very good. I will be doing other posts on Eldest and Brisingr, and, if I have finished it by then, Inheritance, so if you want to know more, just say so!
