AR
Hi, my name is Autumn B., and I’m going to tell you about AR. AR is a reading program, it’s a program that when you read a book that’s on the AR test list, you can take a test on the book. But it’s mainly so teachers can track your reading progress. Every book is worth a couple points. They are usually worth about 3 or 4 points. Some books are worth 0.5 points, while others can be 20 points or more. The most points I ever got from a book was 29 points.
Another thing in AR is the 100 point club. That is something Mrs. Irion, the librarian does. If you get 100 points or more, at an assembly, she calls out your name, for example, last year Lily made it to the 100 point club. You also get a medal and certificate. It says you made the 100 point club.
Also, the books are different levels, take for example, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, that book was a very high reading level, it was 7.2. Another example is Warriors, Moonrise. It’s level 5.8.
I love the AR program, and I think you will to. Hope you make the 100 point club!

This is a very long post, Autumn! I think maybe I will make the 100 point club this year. Last year I only got 12. I love your blog! Just giving us something new to talk about!
ReplyDeleteWow! 29 points! Oh my goodness! Now THAT'S a LOT of points!
ReplyDeleteI agree, 29 points is a lot.
DeleteI am almost in the 100 point club. More people are in the 100 point club than just Lily.
ReplyDeleteThanks for reading my post, Andrew! I hope you make the 100 point club.
DeleteI really like reading AR books. I think it's fun to choose books that you like. It's also really fun when Mrs. Irion gives out medals.
ReplyDeleteI agree, Maya, I love the medals, too.
