Would I like to be on the Oregon Trail?

Today we are writing about why, or why not, we would have wanted to go on the Oregon Trail. I want to for a couple reasons, and I don't want to for a couple reasons. I want to because you get to see lots of diffrent places, you get to meet diffrent people, and you get to ride in a wagon. I don't want to beecause if you're going through water the wagon might fall over in the water. Your animals might die, then you have nothing to pull the wagon and you might die. That is some resons why, and why not, I want to be on the Oregon Trail. Would you have liked to be on the Oregon Trail?

The Science Fair

Do you have a science fair every year? I do. Well if you do, are you thinking of a plan? I am, it's called The Yolks on You, and of course I have to go through the scientific method, What! you don't know what it is. Well I guese I'll tell you, First is the ques and I'm gonna tell you a litle about it. First, I'm going to tell you the materials: small jars, distilled water, fresh raw eggs, egg cups or narrow glasses, tweezers, spoon, knife, clear plastic drinking sraws, candle, matces, modeling clay, salt, and a ruler. This is what you do,fill a jar to just below the rim with distilled water. Next place the pointed end of the egg in the cup or glass. Use a spoon to gentaly tap the ronded end of the egg to crack the shell, don't tap to hard because you don't want to crack the shell.Well I don't want to tell you to much about it. Well, I told you about my science fair project. Tell me about yours

Oh the Places You'll Go....

Guess what today was? I'll give you a clue, he wrote OH THE PLACES YOU'LL GO! If you guessed Dr. Seuss's birthday, you're right! (It was also opposite day, but that's not what I'm supposed to be telling you.)

"Oh the Places You'll Go, by Dr. Seuss" Heather Turchin said over the phone. She's my teacher's daughter. On the 2nd of March, it was Dr. Seuss's B-day! But we weren't in school then, so we're celebrating it now, Mar.4, 05. My teacher's favorite story that Dr. Seuss made is Oh the places You'll Go. So, she had her daughter read the book over the speaker phone, while Ms. T showed us the pictures with the book she has. Heather went on reading the book, and when she was done, we said thank you. Once we hung up the phone (and Heather did to), Ms T asked everyone what the book was telling you. I said "It says that you should be happy, and some moments will be better than others will be, and that you can make good choices or bad choices. No one chooses what you do, you decide."

Have you ever read this story by Dr. Seuss? Well, if you haven't there is a very important lesson in it. That is, that you won't always win, but you won't always loose, in other words, do your personal best! You'll have bad days and you'll have good days. You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes, no one chooses where you go or what you do. If you have ever been in the waithing place, than you probably made the wrong choice. For the waiting place is when you are waiting to get something done, like doing your homework for example. So, you'd better get moving!

Well, I think you have a pretty good idea what the book is about. If you want to find out the rest of the book, you should read it!!!!!!!
