Hello! I’m Nate Bergman, and
this post is about our pi day celebration. Before we begin, I want to tell you
pi is not the same as pie. Pi is a decimal, pie is a food. On March 12, 2015,
everyone in room 125 recited 10 digits of pi. (Some knew more, although we were
only required to do 10. I know 22: 3.141592653589793238462.) We went around one
table group at a time. Some people didn’t memorize it 100% yet, so they stayed
in for recess to practice, and they all recited it correctly after recess.
After we all recited pi, we watched a pi video witch had the pi song. I thought
it was great. We watched a few more times. When we finished the video, we found
the circumference of a plate by multiplying pi times the diameter (we only used
3.14). Blogged by Nate Bergman.
P.S. We
watched a different video about pi a few days later. I don’t know what it was
called, but it was funny.
