Computer Buddies

Have you ever heard of our computer buddies in room 125?
Because if you haven’t you’ve come to the right place. At math time when one group is doing math groups the other go to computer. But don’t think we have 22 computers in our room. Instead we have computer buddies and we share our computers with our buddies. My computer buddy is Katie. Usually it will be a 3rd grader and a 2nd grader so one person can help but some buddies are 3rd and 3rd and some are 2nd and 2nd. It’s ok though. It’s really fun having a computer buddy because you work and learn together which makes it fun. Isn’t that true? Blogged By Akshya

Math Groups

Hi, I’m Akshya. Would you like to know what happens in room 125 during math time? Well, if you do, I can tell you. Right now in the green math group, we are doing customary and metric units of length, as well as temperature. The orange group is in chapter 11 and doing several other activities too. Today, they made their polygon book and we made our triangle book. They turned out great. Math is getting more challenging, but I think our 2nd and 3rd graders can take it. Don’t you think so?

BROCK Magiscope

On Tuesday, March 3, 2015 our class had a very special visitor, Mrs. Schencke, who taught us how to use microscopes 2 different ways. We used to microscope in its little stand to look 20 times bigger than the real size of the pencil tips, 3 e’s typed on paper, and other small objects. Our other way is to use the microscopes is to take the microscope out of the little stand and to put on a surface adaptor so that you can go outside and look at tree bark and other things that you don’t wreck nature. Both ways the thing that you are looking at is always 20 times bigger than the real size of the object.
