Geocaching

Geocaching is a high Tech treasure hunting game played by adventure seekers of all ages all around the world. I have been doing it with my family six years and we started geocaching in Ms.T’s class last year. I like it because you get to explore nature while looking for the cache. Two of my favorites are the Rocket Cache and the other is Heybrook lookout. You can also hide caches all you need is a free basic membership on http://www.geocaching.com

AM Work

We start doing am work right when we come into class. I love doing am work because it is a mix of everything including…DOL (daily oral language), POD (problem of the day), and MR (math review). Then we do challenge problem (optional). Then at 10:30 we check morning work, which is when Ms. Turchin calls someone to come up and show their work under the projector. Anyway, I think that am work is the best thing ever!

Veteran's Day

Tomorrow is Veteran's Day. We get the day off of school, and when we wake up we are going to thank someone who you either know, or just anyone who served in any branch of the military. Say thanks to a Veteran... will you?

Art

In Ms. T’s class we have art. Our art docent is Mrs. Carrie Venable. We usually do projects that involve cutting and gluing. Once we made a picture of our faces, half was a photograph and half was our drawing. Another time we made a green picture, a blue picture then an orange one. When we were finished we cut out trees and hills to make a new picture. We also have art with Zoe. Instead of cutting and gluing we have a sketch book. Zoe comes almost every Friday. The first time we drew a flying pig. She is an awesome artist! I like art. Do you?

Harvest Party

Harvest Party

Ms. T’s class had a magnificent Harvest Party. The food that we had was pretty yummy. We played a lot of games. The games were really fun! It was on Halloween. It was the best Halloween ever! (And the party was also the best thing ever) What was your favorite game? We also had six centers. The centers were:
1. Pin the nose on the Pumpkin.
2. Carving Pumpkins on the computer.
3. Musical plates.
4. Make a spider cookie.
5. Eat snack at your desk.
6. Decorating cookies. .
Hope you enjoyed the Harvest Party!

Atlas Study

We have been studying the atlas, maps, and globes in social studies. I think maps and globes are cool! I like the atlas because you learn where different countries and continents are, and learn all about the U.S.A! Learning new facts about earth is fun. Our class works together to help other students learn more about how to use an atlas.

Oral Pres

Do you know what Oral Pres is? Oral Pres (Presentation) is where you go up to the front of the room, and speak to the class. They record us on a flip camera. Sometimes, you just tell about a topic like ALL ABOUT ME. That was the first one this year. The reason why I like Oral Pres is that it is a great way to learn to speak in front of a group. We work on speaking loud and clear, eye contact, good posture, and being prepared. Also, using technology sometimes.
If you’re not the speaker, then you’re the listener.
DO YOU LIKE ORAL PRES?

Friends

I love this classroom. If you want friends, this is the place to come, because it is no effort to find a friend. You could even be friends with every one in the classroom if you tried. I wish I didn’t have to leave all my friends when I move out of this class, not to mention Ms. Turchin, the best teacher in the world. I love this class for its friends.

Our Class

Have you ever been in Ms. T’s class? I have been here in second grade, now I’m a third grader. From the teacher to the friends, THIS CLASS IS THE BEST CLASS EVER!!! When Ms. T helps us learn, she really makes it fun for the whole class. I mean… the kids are so respectful and caring, and the teacher loves to teach us. So, for me, that is great! Our class is going to start blogging, so please visit our blog often.
Don't forget to leave comments.
